ALBUQUERQUE, NM - ALBUQUERQUE CONV. CTR.
I don't think DEVO ever performed in Albuquerque before, but I'm sure glad they finally did, and that I was able to go with them.
A late night Karaoke bar visit on the night before the show led to Ray Amico (DEVO's road mgr.) singing Jefferson AIrplane's White Rabbit, to everyone's pleasure. He really nailed it! There is video of his performance somewhere (Please contact me if you have it!). We didn't know it at the time, but we would be treated to a command performance by Ray Amico later in the tour during our stay in Green Bay, WI.

SAN ANTONIO, TX - SUNKEN GARDEN AMPITHEATRE
The Sunken Garden is an interesting outdoor theatre, with a concrete stage and dirt floor theatre. The heat during the day was awful, but things really cooled down at night, and made things very comfortable for everyone. Some fans came from as far as Austin to see DEVO devolve in San Antonio. There was an afterparty of sorts at a club nearby, but the logistics of getting from the venue back to our hotel made attending the party impossible, unfortunately.
